Carlton County Fair "Kiss a Pig" Fundraiser
August 21, 2016
Held at the Carlton County Fair on Sunday, August 21st. Kerry Rodd of WKLK/WMOZ Radio, along with several other local distinguished individuals, kicked off a fundraising campaign to build a new barn at the Carlton County Fairgrounds in Barnum. As the top fundraiser, Kerry Rodd's prize was to "Kiss a Pig" on the final day of the fair. Rodd raised around $1,300, and a total of about $2,600 was raised to kick off the "Build a Barn" campaign. National Night Out in Cloquet

WKLK's Kerry Rodd and Dwight Cadwell were on hand August 2nd, 2016 at Veteran's Park in Cloquet. The two broadcast live from "National Night Out," an event organized by several groups, including the Cloquet Police Department. Hundreds were served burgers and hot dogs, while neighbors met with other neighbors and local law enforcement for a great night out in the community to enjoy conversation, games, prize giveaways, a bouncy castle and much more!
Live Broadcast at Coates RV
Jake Kachinske and Kerry Rodd of "The A-Squad" on WKLK 96.5 FM were on hand for a live broadcast at Coates RV in Scanlon to celebrate their big summer open house.
Moose Lake 4th of July Concert

WMOZ 106.9 FM was on hand July 4th, 2016 at Riverside Arena in Moose Lake for a concert featuring "Hot Damn," which brought in members from Whiskey River, Crow and Corey Stevens. WMOZ's Jake Kachinske emceed the big event!
Mugs-N-Hugs Superior - Benna Ford

Mugs-N-Hugs-Superior was held Saturday, May 7th at Benna Ford in Superior, WI. With help from several local organizations and partners, we were able to hand out DNA kits to local parents and children to use in case a child should ever go missing. Each participant also received a souvenir mug and a free root beer float.

Mugs-N-Hugs-Duluth was held Saturday, April 23rd at Savers in West Duluth. With help from several local organizations and partners, we were able to hand out DNA kits to local parents and children to use in case a child should ever go missing. Each participant also received a souvenir mug and a free root beer float.
Goofs on the Roof for 2016!

The annual "Goofs on the Roof" promotion to raise money and food for the Salvation Army Food Shelf moved to "ground level" Tuesday, March 22nd as Jake Kachinske and Kerry Rodd took to the sidewalk in front of the radio station in downtown Cloquet to air their morning show, "The A-Squad." With several generous monetary donations from listeners, friends, local business owners and sponsors, along with several pounds of food dropped off, we were able to feed the hungry in our area for about ONE MONTH. A big THANK YOU to all who took part!
Mugs-N-Hugs Moose Lake

Mugs-N-Hugs-Moose Lake was held Saturday, February 27th at Marketplace Foods in Moose Lake. With help from several local organizations and partners, including the Moose Lake Police and Fire Departments and Solomon's Masonic Lodge #286, we were able to hand out hundreds of DNA kits to local parents and children to use in case a child should ever go missing. Each participant also received a souvenir mug and a free root beer float. A similar event is held in Cloquet every year, and we are now starting up Mugs-N-Hugs events in Duluth and Superior!
